Coming Soon Page, please help

Hello Gang,

I'm working on building a new forum. I know very, VERY little about coding. I want to use the attached file as a temporary landing page, coming soon page while I continue to work on the forum. I got/made this index.html file on a template website. I have tried dropping it into the public_html with my XF install and that didn't work. I then put the XF stuff in public_html/community and placed the index.html in public_html along with the community folder and that didn't work. Can someone please point me in the right direction. Understandably, the host is not helping me with this. Below is a screenshot of the attached index file. I sincerely appreciate any help.

If you put the index.html file in the domain root and XF was moved to the community directory then that should have worked.

Unless the server is not configured to automatically load index files.

Thank you, Brogan. Could it be the index file? It is a single file and loads fine in my web browser.

I'm... dumb. So I noticed it was loading /index.php. and I retyped in www.plantconservatory.com and its loading perfectly now. I didn't clear my browser.
