Duplicate Clone usergroup option to change one or two permissions in secondary usergroup

It would be nice if one could add a secondary group by starting with cloning the Registered group (for example) and then changing one or two specific permissions. You can do this with nodes (add child, add sibling dropdown). Would be nice to have a clone option for usergroups too,

As it is, you have to start from scratch which seems much more time-consuming than it needs to be.

That's not how the permissions system is designed to work - it isn't necessary to duplicate all of the permissions.

Apologies. I still find the XF usergroup permissions confusing at times and I've read that linked reference several times.

What is the recommended procedure for adding a new secondary group then without duplicating all the permissions of Registered?
