Not a bug Clicking a post with no new posts takes you back to page one

Had this reported from my senior moderator and i think I have seen this:

Hi, think I've found a bug in the forum. I use the what's new button a lot which normally works fine. This brings me to the first post I have not read (great). But if I click on a thread that has no new posts since the last time I looked I get sent to the opening post of the thread. Frustrating.

That is the designed behaviour when clicking the thread title.

To go to the last post, click the date/timestamp in the column on the right.
