Browser issue Chrome 9: "Search..." too close to the magnifying glass.

I can reproduce this also. Quickest workaround is to just put a space before the placeholder value.
placeholder=" Search..."

This is clearly a browser bug though - we don't add the magnifying glass.

It would appear so. The magnifying glass is added to all input types of search. I'm not even sure placeholders can be styled/modified by CSS?
