ChopZone : DIY Bike Building Community

Started this forum in 2010 originally on VB and then to XF.
It's just a small community of DIY folks (4500 members).

The goal is to support my DIY Plans (Premium Membership).
My main landing page (http://www.chopzone.com) is also basic and done only in HTML / CSS

I mainly use the default theme with a bit of code to add thumbnails.
The default colors looked great, so I used it out of the box!

sick work. I need something similar for my index page.

Thanks!
I did it that way since selling the subscription to my Premium Plans was goal number one. The forum is mainly for support and to keep the community alive. You could probably download a basic bootstape template and make a simple index page that looks a lot like your forum theme.

What theme are you running on your site? I like the dark look.

Cheers,
Brad

yeah, i'll look into it, but i don't know shizz about web design, lol. I'm running a highly modified version of " Xenfocus - Titan " theme. My site is mostly music, So i really want my index page to display my different types on album art from different categories, my account upgrades pricing table and maybe a music player. Can you you point in me the direction of like a template with a gallery carousel? or something similar?

thanks.

Thanks, will check it out.

I am probably not the best one to ask on making a website! I am so hardcore that I refuse to use a CMS, WordPress or anything cloud related. I actually did my main site in notepad. It's so basic, you could just right click and "view source" if you want to see what drives it. No database, no stupid bloated jquery, just basic HTM and CSS.

So far XF is the first bit of external (not coded by me) software I have ever accepted in my 26 years of making a living off my website.

If you are a control freak and minimalist like me, here is a decent start....
