1. Apparently, not checked the user's permissions so that you may see as similar. It's very important security bug.
2. Also, the results are not cached, which can greatly increase the load, with the active creation of threads. So much so, that way you can call the DOS attack.
3. Search by coincidence, almost negates the benefits seen similar threads to create a new one.

This mod appears to display threads the user doesn't have access to, though only the title (and ID) of the threads are exposed.

Uninstalled until this problem will be fixed...

You need to have the php_mbstring module enabled in your php.ini.
