XF 1.5 Changing the "An unexpected database error occurred. Please try again later." page

Following some recent backend errors on my forum, members have been (expectedly) seeing the following page quite often:

Our site has a maintenance page to display in times like this. Is there a way the site could be configured to default to that page instead of this very dull error screen?
