MG 2.2 changing default media to another name

currently I have XenMedio 2, I changed the folder to media. Now i want to change the media gallery to "photo gallery", changing that gives me a 404 error. Whats the best option making to forward to "photogallery"

Don't change the directory name on the server.

If you want to change the route in the URL, use the Route filters function: admin.php?route-filters/ .
