Not planned Change widget view "Display conditions" to check boxes instead of...

Change "Display condition" to "Group" checkboxes instead of having to remember the template-style expression (and group numbers) all the time. This would be so much easier for people who are just learning how to use Xenforo or may not have coding experience. IMHO of course.

The display condition field is not only used to define which groups can or cannot see the widget. There are a multitude of additional conditions that can be defined here.

Then add the group view checkboxes. The biggest problem with XF is that is NOT newbie friendly IMHO. The less needed of added code the better the product for the average person. The more it requires less code knowledge the better it will sell.

If it becomes too simple, you won't come and chat here anymore ! :D
But it is true that some features of XF, in particular the conditions, are not easy to understand and would deserve an easier approach.

It's not possible to make that field checkboxes - there are too many values which can be entered there.

It's not just user groups - the field can be used to display/not display in specific nodes, threads, categories, styles, or combinations of all.

It's possible but duplicative given that you can have the same effect by typing the template-style conditional. It's not something we're likely to do so the decision to close this is reasonable.
