XF 1.4 Change base font

How do i change the font on the threads? Its Georgia at the moment.

I am trying to change the font in Style Properties -> Message Elements -> Message Text but when I go there I don't see any font fields. When I first load that in Admin CP, something appears at the bottom which might be the font selection bit, but it disappears in less than a second. How can I access that to change the font.

That style property has a text field called "Font Family" which controls the CSS "font-family" property. You can change it to a custom family as you wish.

Somehow I have managed to sort it out.
