Change Analyzer

What does the "Do not change" setting do in the Change Analyzer setup?

I just tried selecting "Do not change" and clicking the Change Analyzer button, nothing happens it just reverts back to the Standard Analyzer.

As a new user of ES, I'm not exactly sure what an analyzer is and how it effects the index, so these options are all new to me. From what I gather the "Do not change"doesn't do anything, but than again I'm just assuming this.

exactly... if you select "do not change" its not going to change anything... its kind of a moot option in perspective
