XF 2.1 CDN Support for Attachments

Hi, guys,
then this is the question: is it possible to use a CDN for attachments or not?
I tried from config.php file, I tried with Attachments Store (without success), I also tried with webserver rewrite, nothing to do.

This is the concept:

1. The CDN is internal, I don't need API or anything else
2. No private attachments are allowed between users, everything that is present is secure

Also I would like to be able to put the extension instead of .id/, otherwise pagespeed or other automators can't convert me for example a .jpeg to .webp

Having said that, what can be done about it?

Native it doesn't seem possible yet. However there is a plugin of XFRocks, but that module is not compatible wit XF2.2
