Q: This image shows up on other sites. I uploaded it just now as a test.

A: The link https://data8thos.r.worldssl.net/data/attachment-files/2013/09/48508_722.jpg is not working, it says the file not found.

I test the hotlinking at http://hotlinktest.com/ , when I inserthttps://data8thos.r.worldssl.net/data/attachment-files/2013/09/48500_nathalia.jpg , and it says the link is blocked.

I then tried to use this picture in my blog, and it forbid me in using it, attached with the screenshot.

I just tried to embed that image into a post on my test forum. I get a 404 not found when viewing in Firefox, which I've never accessed your site from. If I use Chrome, I can view it, because it's stored my cookies for your site with the permissions

I cleared my firefox cookies and data. I viewed it again. I can still see it.

I deleted that attachment from my forum yesterday. Yet I can still see it in my Chrome and Firefox?

Not sure then! I've actually just refreshed waterfox, and it's there!

I've tried setting my own up on a test CDN, and I can still view the image when embedding it.

Update: I no longer use CDN.Net since I wasn't able to prevent hotlinking through their service, even though they offered it. Maybe it works for some folks, just not for me. Tech guy I spoke to... I couldn't understand wtf he was talking about. I use this for now though: http://xenforo.com/community/resources/ultimate-hotlinking-protection.2346/
