XF 1.4 Can't install it for some reason

When i try to install the CMS it comes up with

XenForo 1.4.3 - Errors
The following errors occurred while verifying that your server can run XenForo:

• The directory /home/proxymor/public_html/forum/data must be writable. Please change the permissions on this directory to be world writable (chmod 0777). If the directory does not exist, please create it.
• The directory /home/proxymor/public_html/forum/internal_data must be writable. Please change the permissions on this directory to be world writable (chmod 0777). If the directory does not exist, please create it.

Please correct these errors and try again.

i have chmod 777 on the directory, but i can't see data or some of the others anyway. whats going on ?

You need to recursively chmod the data and internal_data directories.

They are both in the install root directory.

well the thing is that they don't come with the download.

Are you sure you downloaded the full .zip and not the upgrade .zip?

Those two directories aren't included in the upgrade .zip.

You will have to create them and also an .htaccess file by renaming the htaccess.txt file, as that is also not included in the upgrade .zip.
