XF 2.1 Can't get into control panel after upgrade, keeps redirecting

Trying to upgrade from X1.5 to X2.1 -- after going through the upgrade, it keeps telling me the upgrade is complete and to enter the control panel and I can't.



Success!? Not really.

Click ENTER CONTROL Panel

and I get this...



Click "Rebuild Master Data" and the entire cycle repeats.

Now everything (including the home page) redirects to this page.

I can't get off this page or bring my forum back up.

Any ideas on what is going on?

PS: The install lock file exists and is in place.

Yes, I tried that 4 times and it did not work.

I tried another browser and was able to pull up a login screen and get into the control panel.

I cleared my cache in my Firefox browser and now the problem seems to be intermittent.

So I abandoned FF and now am working within Chrome.

Now I have a new problem...

Most of the widgets DO NOT work.



I should have 4 widgets on my forum home page, none of them show up.

I tried other positions (below nodes, Public: Sidebar top) and still nothing.

It's like one problem fixed, created another.

So when I hit the forum's main home page via the "index.php" I continue to get this redirect issue.

My site's url structure is:

https://mycommunity.com/community/index.php

I should get my main forum.

Instead I get...

Just to update this thread if it hits for anyone else...

I wish I could say what caused the REDIRECT issue and what fixed it, but it seems resolved for now. How? I'm not sure. My guess is something related to the HTACCESS file and the browser CACHE.

As for the WIDGET issue, if your USER PERMISSIONS don't allow "member viewing" it will affect all the widgets relating to members. I believe this is what was causing all the MEMBER Widgets to not function.
