Can't Connect to FTP

I'm working with a client and I can't connect to the ftp. I exported the settings and imported the .xml file and It still won't work. Any suggestions?

Check the protocol, username, password, and server. It might help if you give us more information, such as your FTP program, if you receive any errors, etc. Your second sentence seems to have nothing to do with FTP.

The configuration file. You export it in the Cpanel and import it into the FTP. I'm using FileZilla.

Have the client check the server error logs to see what messages the FTP server is reporting?

It could be a number of things. I've had issues previously where the firewall was blocking the passive FTP ports - 30000:35000

Ohhhh It couldn't connect because the name servers didn't update yet. Got it.
