Cannot use REST API with Xen Foro Demo

1. Create a demo forum at https://xenforo.com/demo/
2. Add an API key
3. Use a client (such as Postman) to hit the API with the XF-Api-Key specified
4. The webpage for creating a new demo is returned.

I would expect it to respond with the appropriate response for the given path. I have tried both including the Content-Type header and not.

This isn't a bug, rather a configuration error with the demo system.

We will aim to get that resolved at some point, but for now it does mean you cannot test the REST API in the demo.

This document assumes you have already created an API key and setup the necessary headers for your request. Learn more about using the API.

If you still need to test the API in a real environment, we do maintain a reasonable refund policy so one option is to purchase a license, test the REST API on your own web/local server and if you find it doesn't meet your needs then we will provide a full refund.
