XF 1.5 Cannot remove a redirect from 1 of 2 merged topics

I also read through the big PDF moderator manual before coming here for help.

Issue: A moderator moved a thread (A) last night and merged with another topic (B) using a redirect. Posts from A cannot be seen in B and when A is clicked, members are taken to the first open post in thread B and cannot read any of the posts in A.

I tried to remove the redirect using inline moderation, unsuccessfully. I am taken straight to the first open post box in thread B.

If the user merged threads, then the posts will be there in purely chronological order, so potentially mixed together.

From the forum list page (where you see a list of threads), you should be able to click the inline moderation check box on the redirect there and take action to remove it.

I am a superuser (an admin) yet cannot perform that option although I tried earlier. Thanks for the fast response @Mike , I appreciate the suggestion.

Unless XF2 has changed, being an admin does not grant moderation permissions. They are 2 separate roles. Make sure that you have also been added into the Moderator role from the ACP.

Thanks @Tracy Perry. The consultant who did our install set me up as a moderator and superuser there as well.

I will go back to the manual and see if I can find anything which might help sort it out.

it is our Featured topic which may also be complicating things. I am going to go take everything apart and see what I can find.
