Fixed Cannot extend add-on install process

We've got a few add-ons which add fields for XFRM and XFMG, but currently there doesn't appear to be a way to extend any of the add-on install process. I've tried quite a few approaches and none of them seem reliable: https://xenforo.com/community/threads/extending-addon-classes.144917/

Will these run when XF is upgraded as well? And if so, will these run when someone upgrades to XF 2.0.10 (or whichever version includes these)

No, they won't ever run when XF is upgraded.

XF itself is an add-on, but very loosely treated as such. It's mostly just a shortcut to access versioning and add-on data association. The actual install/upgrade process doesn't touch the add-on system at all.
