Cancel button on a Stripe subscription

As a user, I clicked Cancel and cancelled a a subscription yesterday. As an admin, I verified the subscription has been cancelled. BUT as a user, I still see the Cancel button. Not a biggie, just an area of possible confusion.

I asked about this a while back

XF 2.1 - When cancelling a recurring subscription, the cancel button is still there after cancelling.

I've just setup user upgrades on a site and when testing a recurring subscription, after cancelling the subscription (which is still due to be active for a period of time after the cancellation) the cancel button is still visible. This is confusing as then proceeding to try and cancel it again...

Yeah, they try to play it off as a feature, but its clearly a bug.

It offers you to cancel the subscription when its already cancelled - that's a bug. I've had several people email me about their subscription after its been cancelled, and I've had to manually go into Stripe to check it and then email back to assure them that its cancelled.

I hope this part of the forum gets more updates and features, as virtually every forum I'm on offers some sort of donation/subscription feature.

I've updated the phrase so it lets people know if they hit cancel it's cancelled.

Bug.

Business is about (helping people) making money.

Yes this is definitely a bug and should be fixed. If it's cancelled it should say that it's cancelled in the user upgrade page.

Subscription models can be a great way to run a forum, and I believe XF should invest in features that enable forum owners to offer subscriptions to users.

Back to the purpose of this thread. When a subscription is canceled, the Cancel button should be changed to Renew.
