XF 1.3 Can I keep the same link structure as vbulletin?

So I have looked through quite a few threads and it looks like the best I can do with xenforo is 301 redirect from old indexed vb links to the new xenforo ones. I have been using vbseo for a few years.

The problem with this is that we rebranded and changed our domain name a few months ago, so there is already a pretty hefty amount of 301 redirects coming through. I feel like google would penalize another redirect on top of the current one.

my current vbulletin structure is like this:

Threads:
[forum_title]/[thread_id]-[thread_title]/
http://site.com/general-topic/270779-thread-title/
page 2, etc.
http://site.com/general-topic/270779-thread-title-2.html

What's the closest I can get to my current vbulletin / vbseo link structure?
I would really rather not have another redirect. e
But maybe its necessary and something I should get over with sooner than later.

edit: also, I really don't mind the xenforo link structure and would be willing to use it, but I don't like the extra /forums/ /threads/ in there. I know they can be reworded / rerouted, but I'd rather have them stripped from the url to keep it even closer to my vbulletin structure.

Dont worry it works. I had the same situation. A year ago i had to switch domains also. that domain forwards to mine and i use the redirect scripts you can find in the manual for migrating.

No problems whatsoever.
