I'd like to be able to check how many users are using, for example, style x.

I've got several styles available, but I'd like to see which ones are most popular.

Couldn't find a way from ACP.

You can't via the ACP, you'll have to use phpmyadmin.

Could you give a couple of tips, I have phpmyadmin installed and know a bit of my way around mysql, but I'm not sure what tables or columns to look for so I could somewhat easily spot how many users a style has.

Or do I need some more sophisticated mysql queries to calculate the user amount of each style?

    Untested but this should work:

    SELECT style_id, COUNT(style_id) FROM xf_user GROUP BY style_id
