XF 2.0 Can a widget be made dismissable?

I want to show a widget to users, that they can dismiss like a notice.

Alternatively a way to show a widget in a notice. Does anyone know if this is easily doable?

Would be great if any developer can give a option to dismiss and/or "minimize" any widget.

There is so many things in my landing page that many users don't use and many use.

Well, let's wait if someone have the skills for doing this.

Like we are seeing here, we have a lot of demand for this kind of add-on.

Can you use the HTML widget as a container and code to dismiss or collapse?

Could probably do it with a custom user field.

I thought I had solved this.

I coped the code for a notice from page source view. Pasted in the widget key as content.

Then display this as an ad in @Siropu Ads manager.

It worked!

But the problem is it pops up again as soon as you refresh the page.

But at least I'm just that little bit closer .

But it seems odd, you can display a widget inside a dismissibble notice inside an ad container, but not just inside a notice.
