buying xenforo, few questions before purchase

hey i want to buy xenforo but have a few questions first.

i plan to use this forum for my minecraft server players to chat on mainly. its a small server so like 5 active forum members.

i am new to forum/web hosting.

is the asmallorange.com shared "tiny" hosting package enough for what i need? http://asmallorange.com/hosting/shared/
how many posts can i get on my forum with that plan?
are they a good host? any other host recommendations?

also i want to set up my forum locally first on mamp, im on mac, is there a guide for setting it up with mamp, thanks !!


also if i buy one of the themesinc.com themes , am i allowed to edit the skin?

thanks ! btw anyone else using mamp, will have to use http://localhost:8888/community/install/ and make sure web sharing is on
8888=apache port

im on step 3 of installation and i get this error Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 120 seconds exceeded in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/community/library/Zend/Validate/Hostname.php on line 591

the part where i got to make admin account , just keeps loading and error pops up

I don't have a a Mac and I have never used Mamp so I can't offer any advice unfortunately.

oh thanks this topic has the fix, just had to downgrade mamp php from 5.3 to 5.2 and it works !
