Thx @Solidus for this simple but very effective spam prevention tip! I also thought that it would be a good idea to block actually all top level domain in „non-linked links“. I used the IANA TLD list which centains all current top level domains, to create the corresponding phrases:

I've noticed some of these human spammers come back months after they 1st registered. I'm assuming someone creates an account for the sole purpose of selling the details on to the actual spammers hence the delay.
I've zero'd the max days since registration. Hopefully I've understood that option correctly!

You want the 'Maximum Messages to Check for Spam' setting on /admin.php?options/list/spam and ensure your Akismet API key is enetered.

This will place in the moderator queue img, url and media except if the url is example.com (replace with your forum url)

Location, Occupation and Home Page cannot be typed in unless you have made 1 post. These are commonly targeted for spam so I think it's a good idea. The "About You" is completely hidden until 1 post is made also.
I can add this to the resource if people want.
