XF 1.2 Birthdays

Hi all, I have a long long thread on my site where everyone posts birthday messages.

I wanted to know if there is a simple way to automatically post into this thread every time its some one birthday?

I don't want all the bells and whistles of some other mods just an additional post in an existing thread every time its some one birthday atomically.

If not is it all possible to send the birthdays to an RSS feed or similiar and then post based on that?

Any ideas would be appreciated !

This isn't quite what you're asking but I'll share what I do.

I use @Chris Deeming's Notifications add-on. With this I have created two Notifications. The first displays a happy birthday message automatically to whoever's birthday it is that day. The second Notification displays automatically to everyone else telling them whose birthday it is that day and encouraging them to post a message on that person's profile page

This seems to work quite well and gets some more use of profile pages.
