I really like your logo, nice job. The style too is pretty well done. The one thing I would change is the gradients for the category names. The gradients make the red look pale so it doesn't match the crispness of your logo or navigation bar, but that is just my opinion, I like the background image as well, it's "not in your face" and thus not taking attention away from the forum.
