A touchy subject this NULLED SOFTWARE stuff.. Always 2 ways to look at things though and regardless of who you are or what your argument is there is NEVER a defining right answer. And no doubt some will argue over that statement also..lol
Everyone in this world wants something for nothing rather than paying for it.. If I had a choice of buying a brand new car for £30,000 or having one for nothing with zero chance of being prosecuted I would choose the free option, along with I would think 90% of the worlds population.
Now scripts is a whole new ballgame , most forum software is written using PHP and people take the terminology of the copyright of PHP into an argument because it clearly states PHP is FREE & OPEN SOURCE and can be added to , amended , altered in anyway a person see's fit. And that person can hide that code they have altered or added with their own security, lets say IONCUBE for arguments sake. If they alter , add or amend code without protection of their own work, the PHP script remains open source. That's a fact. If you purchase a script like Xenforo you are paying for their time,devotion,work to an open source end product so that you the end user do not have to put code snippets together yourself to get a fully functional excellent product.
I have ran forums for more years than I care to remember, along with hosting a few also. And I will clearly state here and now I have in the past used NULLED scripts and will in all likely hood continue to do so in test circumstances.. If I see something that interests me one of the first things I do is look on the net for a nulled copy so that I can try it out, get to know it at my leisure and not under a 1 or 2 week trial of the crippled versions that do not do the very things you want to test out in the first place. If I decide I like the script I then go and buy a legal copy if I am going to run a live site.
Why try NULLED in the first place..?
Well personally and probably like so many others I had my fingers burned more than once with buying scripts that promised everything in the advert but in reality was a pile of junk or wouldn't work as described or development and support suddenly vanished from the face of the earth..Meaning I had wasted my money or worse still a groups money.
Point in case FusionBB forum script , I bought at Beta /RC stage at a slightly reduced fee.At Gold release it was 50% more but still worth the money in my view, it had everything built in you could want Portal , Forum , Blog , Gallery etc . Not long after Gold release probably about 6-9 months one of the developers leaves for pastures new leaving the other developer high and dry and on his own...Cut a long story short, not too long after that it went tits up and development stopped and they stopped trading...
So we all have reasons why we have used or tried NULLED software. And to think you will stop it is nothing more than naive stupidity at best..
And "Heavy" I bet your a real barrel of laughs at a party , try spending your time improving your own site rather than trying to be a one man crusade.
