Best way to redirect 1 url to homepage - I removed Xenporta..

I just removed Xenporta today and I had it up for a couple months, but whats the best way to redirect this url as it was setup like this below..

example:
myforum.com - xenporta
myforum.com/forum - forum home

Now that I disabled Xenporta the myforum.com/forum doesnt redirect to myforum.com

So whats the best way I should redirect this /forum to myforum.com ?

You would use this mapping:

forum -> index

Or you can add a rewriterule to your .htaccess file:
