What is the best way for users to create a support thread in a category?
normal users would not be able to see someone else's support request...
however, the poster will be able to see his own support threads...

In forum permissions set permissions 'view thread by others' to revoke
Which will let members not able to view threads by other members and they will only be able to view their own threads
