Best Virus Protection 2016

Noticed latest version of Norton 360 hogging significant resources and taking 100% of disk drive for scanning. Can't even tell Norton to delay the scanning activity.

Wondering what people are using for virus protection in 2016?

I don't use my desktop/laptops much but I run kaspersky on them (free with my bank). It runs fine.

I don't run antivirus on my Mac, most paid antivirus for mac actually only search for windows viruses...

This, Eset Nod32 (although admittedly I'm on v9). Lightweight, good and never had an issue with it in all these years.
