XF 1.5 Best method to do permissions?

I've got over 40 usergroups, is there a method to do permissions in the mass?

There is no mass user group permission management built in.

Depending on the nature of the user groups, you may not need to make any permission changes though, if they are just for styling for example.

Or if several user groups share the same permissions, you can use a single user group.
