To solve the issue, the
[Berg] XFRM Download Urls plugin was created. You can contact its author by
Telegram - You can find him there as
Berg_Studio. The plugin was made to order and I am more than satisfied with the result.
What has been implemented?
- Limit the use of external URLs at the group level. You can regulate which group can use how many external URLs.
- Outputs multiple external URLs via a modal window. Same principle as with files.
- When adding external URLs, added ability to specify Title and Description to each URL.
- When adding external URLs, if you don't fill in the Title and Description, the URL title will default to the sequence number. The text is crammed in phrases.
- The title is attached to the URL title. Title and Description are filled in as desired.
- Foolproofing is taken into account, if no URL is added and the Title or Description is filled in, this field will be removed when saving.
- Saving external URLs in draft.
The plugin was not posted anywhere, because the development was finished recently and works properly. You can see a live example on my forum, the address is in my profile. I doubt the developers will want to implement something like this and I don't see any reason to wait for them either, when they are busy with more important issues. Therefore, this issue should be solved independently. I don't know how the plugin will work on XF 2.3+, I haven't tested it. On XF 2.2.12 everything is fine.
