I'd like to be able to use the forum without all the mod tools and then just easily turn them on.

Question; you'd have to just override the value for is_moderator to false, right?
No idea.
I just don't want to look at all the admin tools everywhere all the time.
But I want to be able to turn it on if work needs doing.
