Not planned Bbcode inside media description box

Unlikely. Descriptions are generally consistent throughout XF. Aside from a few exceptions, they are designed to be plain text only.

This is why the Caption field is shipped by default and why is supports BB code. You can change its display location to achieve the same thing. Template edits might even be able to move it to a more desirable location if one of the default locations doesn't suit.

Could this be a future addition, maybe? It would be helpful to have a hyperlink from an image in the description to a full article in the forum.
But I bet I'm the only one who wants this
