XF 2.2 Batch update does not update

I have been looking for an answer before posting this and found that there is a a possibility of DB crashing when attempting to mass delete users or moving posts.
The solution seemed to shorten the target list via criteria.

I am trying to change the primary group for a number of users, but no way.
First I got a list of 9.000 users, hit the "update" button, the system seemed to process them... and nothing changed. Tried that for a number of times.

After reading some threads here I shortened the list using the register date and got a list of 500. Same result: zero

Is there an issue with the software of could it be caused by a criteria conflict?

It's a bug which has been fixed in the next release.
