Implemented Banning users from specific forums

I want to be able to ban users from specific forums. After being banned they can read threads in that forum but can't post. This would solve a lot of problems for me.

You can do this with permissions for the forum node. Put them in a usergroup and set the permissions per node for that group.

Oops I see @AndyB posted an add-on. Well now there's 2 to look at.

Though I don't need this, group banning is not the same, it's why XF ditched the banned group and uses a ban function. The OP wants to click and ban not add to a group. Imagine having to create a group for each forum you have, and then multiple forums combined for certain users, when it could be a dropdown selector.

This could be an extension of reply bans. We can already ban a user from a thread, it could be exteded.

A user group is not required.

Permissions can be set on a per member/node basis.

An add-on is overkill for functionality which is already built in.

I looked at the per member permissions in acp and they did not include individual nodes. Where is that?
