I love bacon (in fact, got 10lbs in the fridge right now), but I don't know that I love it well enough to have on a cupcake.

Same. I'm not much of a 'sweets' kind of guy, but when I do have them, I don't want them to be salty, bitter, or anything else other than sweet.

No different than buying bacon that's been cured with maple syrup.
