Currently running on a generic shared account with no other domains. Running the cPanel CP. What is th best way to automate a backup of the site to an offsite location.
From what I can tell, the only way is via FTP/SCP How are you guys doing it?

What's wrong with that method? You can always use rsync or so, but the easiest method is very likely to just use the built-in FTP/SCP transfer. Doesn't get much easier than that.
