XF 2.0 Backing up the forum

Hello everyone,

I'm currently planning my backup routine for my forum and i'm trying to keep the backup files as small as possible, i tried looking into the xf2 documentation but i couldn't find what files are needed to successfully restore, so my questions are:

• Is backing up the database sufficient?
• If i need to backup the files, do i backup all of them or just a few specific directories?
• Are all tables needed or can i cut some of them?

As far as the files are concerned, you only need to backup the /data and /internal_data directories.

You could get away with backing up the database and truncating the search index table, but you would have to rebuild the search index if you restore from it.
