I recently moved my forum from a sub directory to the root, and now when you choose an avatar is says upload complete but avatar doesn't show. I checked the permissions and all is good there, is there a path setting or something I'm missing.
Here is a link if you need to see the site http://host-hunters.com

They are are set to 755 permissions.

If you click on my avatar it shows the avatar they just aren't be displayed on the forum.

That's what is getting me confused, the permissions are in the acp is set for members to upload an avatar and the file permissions are set right also.

Make sure you have recursively set permissions for /data and /internal_data - 0666/0777 if PHP runs as "nobody" the web server user), 0644/0755 if it runs as "your" user (suPHP for example).

    Code:
    chmod -R 777 data
    chmod -R 777 internal_data
If it still doesn't work then you may need to chown also.

If I manually change the permissions to 777 in all the folders they show, as soon as I upload a new avatar the permission sets to 600.

Sorry for double post, but does anyone know why the permission changes and how to fix it.

I was able to add a php.ini file that solved the problem. Thank you all for the help.

My host added a php.ini file into the directory where xenforo is.
