XF 2.0 Automatically post forwarded email

I searched - didn’t see an answer.

We currently have dueling electronic message systems in our retirement community. The legacy Yahoo Egroup is a mess (crashes, 100-150 emails/day, pix won’t upload or can’t be seen, etc.), but the old people know how to use it and quite a few are “resisting” (screaming, heels-dug-in-refusal) changing to my XenForo message board. We have 1000 people who have joined, but the other board has about 6000 members, though many of them are not receiving emails, have moved away or have ceased to exist. Nevertheless, those who have joined the new XF message board are now having to monitor TWO places, which is worse than the problem we weee trying to fix.

In order to encourage using the new MB, one of our retired IT members suggested that having the egroup messages automatically posted to a forum on the new MB would mean that members of the MB could read ALL the posts in one place. I’m thinking if my emails from the egroup could automatically be forwarded to upload to a single forum on the MB, especially if the forum could be viewed most recent first, that would ease the transition and make it more palatable to the Luddites.

Any suggestions for how to do this?

If the egroup system has an RSS feed for messages then you can use the built in function in XF to automatically post those messages.

Otherwise it's going to require custom development.

Trying that - running into a few problems though. Grrr ... Too many posts and they're not getting posted correctly. A problem between my email provider and WordPress.

But thanks for the alternative.
