The threads are locked individually. As for a message, you'd need some form of Scheduled Posting or Scheduled Content.Is there an option to throttle the each run ie max threads to lock per run? I recall using Andy's similar Addon it triggered several thousand locks and made a huge mess until he added that option.
Also is there an option to post a msg before thread is auto locked?
I'll see if I can find you the appropriate template to modify. It should just be a matter of commenting out the other options in one of the public templates.

I thought this was a global option and not a per thread option.
