XF 2.2 As the Administrator - How to post threads under multiple different user names?

Hello,

I write science fiction about a near-future storyworld where there are underground journalists who release controversial stories. The pretense is - they've figured out a way to send some of those stories back here to our time.

I want to create a forum called Dispatches From the Future where those future journalists post threads under their own byline name. It will be me posting, but I want it to look like it's them as a regular user.

How can I easily set up about ten user names that I control?

And, how do I set the Dispatches From the Future forum so that only I can start a thread, but any registered user to my website can respond and interact?

Thanks!

Solution
Accounts don't require email addresses when you create them in the ACP.

And, how do I set the Dispatches From the Future forum so that only I can start a thread, but any registered user to my website can respond and interact?

Remove the post thread permission for the Registered user group for that forum, add it for the 10 accounts.

You'd need to set up the user accounts, but if you use a login as user addon it's easy and quick to switch, instead of logging in and out, or having 10 different browsers open :)

Login as user:

When trying to set up a new User, it rejects it because it won't let me use my email that is already in use for my Admin user name. So, I'd need ten unique emails too?

This is already feeling psychotic. My protagonist weighed in, so I supported her, as me. Then the villain weighed in and is making threats. But, this is all me.

I like the idea of having separate accounts for each of "them" because it creates a great place to develop a lot of backstory in "their" profiles.

Thank you everybody for your help!
