Green: duplicate content right next to each other.
Red: thread controls should move next to page controls; thats where they are in all other discussion types.
Blue: I dunno what to do about this after green is fixed. Possibility to move it up, even though thats not how other posts look; but it's an article pin, not a post.

Some good ideas. The duplication of the date is something I didn't actually notice until you pointed it out.

Lack of interest - Date redundancy with "pinned to top" article

For normal posts it only happens on page 1 so it makes sense because on page 2 it is a different timestamp (different post) and a good position for them all. But here, to me, it screams redundant, seeing this every page. Solution: Move it to the bottom with the author info, so it is seen on page...

Isn't the duplication of the date and time the same for threads prior to 2.2? It's only doing the same as it's been doing it for a long time. And because they've clearly stated that articles is just a thread type, I don't think it will be changing. You can just use css to remove it.

No it is slightly different, see what I stated at my link.
Basically yes, the same post container, but when it's pinned you get redundancy on every page unlike with pagination of linear posts where this only happens once.
