XF 2.2 Are connected account registrations always approved?

By default, can people that register by connected accounts, Google, Yahoo, etc still go into the approval queue or are they always passed?

Example, user tries registering with his email address that's Gmail, he goes into approval queue and is pending or rejected. Later he registers by Google - connected account, using the same email address on his Google account as his previous failed registration, will he be approved automatically or will he remain in the approval queue?

They bypass the approval queue on the understanding that their connected account has already been verified.

Hey guys. I am having the issue that they are not approved. My settings in XenForo forces to click on a link in the email, but through connected services there are no emails sent and the users are placed in "to be approved by admin." This is not useful as they get authenticated. Is it a setting issue, did I miss something?
