With some knowledge of coding, one can made it available to only members as it does not have any authentication on the client side.
There is no clear instructions how to install it, I have to play around a bit to understand how to set it up.
It's a pleasant surprise that it handles a lot of games.
I only know that it works on Windows though.
High scores may require custom coding.
It's probably the best free legal out there but only the emulator but not the roms which are copyrighted materials.

Yes, but only to get it working and tested that one can remotely download from server.
Took me a while since there is no doc how to set this thing up.
Brought back some good time back then spending tons of quarters playing those.
What is missing is to put credentials in place, I'm not sure for highscores though as I had not deep dive into code.
It was only an experimental test, I believe they're working on new version of Mame which handles more games.
It's hard to find roms compatible of this version though.
