This thread is confusing. The title asks for an API for payment gateways, while the thread asks for iDEAL.

I need an API for payment gateways. If that is available then its a small step to adding payment processors with 100+ payment methods, including iDeal.

iDEAL is just the Dutch counterpart of the European e-banking system. e-banking is the most popular payment method in Europe as a whole.

Two related threads were merged, my original title was about iDEAL, but I agree with this title which would make iDEAL possible as you said.
