Anyone notice a slow change in license holder support in the forums?

@Tracy Perry, It seems you are retired and have nothing else better to do here and on many other forums to ***** and complain about anything you can, OK I will pat you on the back for helping people like many others here that don't want Thanks for it, if you don't like Xenforo or IPS just go and run a free software and complain to them, Get a new hobby and ***** on another site, you feel entitled because you paid for a license? I paid for many of them on here and IPS however do you see me moan about it? no.

Users like you should be on FB, go ***** there.

Yes to retired... and not really "*****ing"... more like missing the days that there were a lot more folks GIVING help to those that are asking for it.... Seems you aren't one of those that tend to offer much help (or at least looking at your posting history somewhat supports that).
I really don't give a flying crap if the XF developers provide support in the forum or not... I have ticket support for that IF I need it...
WHAT I am referencing is the fewer and fewer number of license holders that are helping with the peer->peer support. Is it burnout because of lack of forward movement in the script and those license holders that used to provide support are choosing to do something else now? Is it simply because those that have historically provided peer->peer support are more active in other pursuits?
I know in my case... as I get older, I have less time on this planet... so I'm naturally going to be more concerned with efficient use of my time, and prefer that use benefit me. Whereas in the past I would be willing to work with someone for several days on something... I now prefer to spend that time doing something for me.

If you look carefully... you will see there are a VERY few number of people that are actively helping others on the forum.
MySiteGuy, Xon, DigitalPoint and such are usually around... along with a few others... but back a few years ago we had a LOT more that provided peer->peer assistance.

You feel entitled because you paid for a license
No, but I do expect certain things from a paid script, just as I do with ANY paid software.
But I'm not directly referencing ANYTHING to do with XenForo... but the sad point that there are fewer and fewer people that are willing to take the time to offer help here. It's beginning to look like the old IPS support site (4.3 days) where there were a VERY few that actually helped other license holders, the majority of the members being simple site managers and not true site admins.

Users like you should be on FB, go ***** there.
And how about taking up that "help other license holders" mantle instead of posting frequent inane drivel instead?

Yet here you are with yet another thread with multiple overly long posts about XF / the forum / something else.

Perhaps you may do well to heed your own advice.

As a moderator I have to at least read every post so I for one would appreciate it if you did.
It would give me a little more down time.

As I suspected the reply would be, I really do suggest you go back over the last two years of your posts here and look at how many times you had led an attack on Xenforo staff and Devs here (and other forum software) If I was the owner here I would just kick your ass out of here and lose the revenue, **** happens Tracy with deadlines as well as staff changes, give the team a break.

I won't give you another reply here as it's not in my nature however I'm sure many are sick of reading your worthless nonsense.

Seems like I am... I continue to provide assistance here to others seeking it... the thing I don't do is devote hours and hours like I used to helping folks with there server issues. I have the same philosophy now that any script provider does for that... seek professional help from your host or a paid 3rd party service provider.
The fact is, there are fewer and fewer people helping compared to before. I'm really curious as to the reason of that (and it's not only with XF but other sites also, but you would think on a support site it wouldn't be as prevalent).
I suspect I know the main reason, and it has nothing to do with XF/IPS/WBB/myBB or any script. It has to do more with a "time" constraint from the members aspect.

It seems that some want to try to derail a valid discussion (on a changing attitude of help) amongst license holders by making personal attacks...

But... do us all a favor.. close the thread....

I wonder why you get spoken about on other forums. 🤣
Lessons need to be learned by you 😡
I mean poor @Brogan has to read all of your nasty posts.
He should put you in the moderation queue i think.

Free work for non-profits that I've felt drawn to.
Meant to address this. And I’m sure they were appreciative of it also. For 8 years I provided free IT infrastructure support on an average of 40 hours a week for two non-profits and local physician offices that has charity outreach.
It is that lack that I have seen on this site and others. There seems to be a core few that are willing to go that extra mile.
Ultimately I was going to get to “how can we get back to that”. Or has society reached a tipping point?

There are more than a few core people who want to help others here, You seem to be drama-drawn, some of the other sites you post on enjoy it, maybe keep it there.(y)

I'll just say there's a couple of users that are kind of loud and seems to respond to everything. So I try to keep to myself to avoid having to get into anything.

Capitalizing words just to make yourself sound loud, is very obnoxious and off-putting. I wouldn't be surprised if there's more people with my experience and perspective, and pulled back because of it.

There is a difference between "want" and "do". I consistently see the same few responding to requests for assistance.
And you keep diverting the discussion.... There are now a core few who provide the majority of the responses... and that has not always been so. Since you seem to be all-knowing... can you provide an answer as to why that is... not only here, but throughout the world of fora?

Capitalizing words just to make yourself sound loud,
You ever hear of utilizing emphasis? It's a basic written language skill taught in almost every school and language.
I wouldn't be surprised if there's more people with my experience and perspective, and pulled back because of it.
I'm usually not the one posting the questions for assistance... so this fact does not really concern me, and actually has zero (happier now?) to do with the topic at hand... which is the fewer license holders helping others.

At the end of the day Tracy you are looking for a pat on the back for helping people,(I pat you on the back) I have been helping people all my life and don't ask for anything and never will.

Take life for what it is and stop being such a drama queen.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. Your posts are insulting and geared towards demeaning people. Emphasis can be used in other ways. With quotations, italics, etc.

You wanted an answer, and I'm giving you one. You're one of the people I've seen responding and answering more frequently. So I decided I didn't want to be attacked by you in any way shape or form, and since you're always arguing to the point where you have to be right and get the last word, I decided to just let you answer and support people.

I'd keep to myself. I provided this input, and what you made this thread for. Whether you agree or disagree with it, doesn't matter.

Nope... don't care (and never did) for "kudos" for helping folks out, in fact I frequently requested that those I help not advertise that fact, mainly because it tended to end up with more requests for assistance to the point of no time... but facts remain just that... there are many here that have devoted countless free hours of assistance... and many of them no longer do so. The question is why? Is there some underlying reason other than people are choosing to spend more of their spare time on themselves? Is it because that they have burned out over the last 5-10 years of doing such? Or do they simply not see any value in continuing to do so?

That's right... and the way I was taught, you emphasized with caps.... so, care to talk about who is trying to demean who? Take a CLOSE look in the mirror.

It's actually funny most of us come on here to look for support and the like and we don't stay around like what you do.
Maybe look at posting about these things on your own forum deal with it that way and have others tell you off for it.

But you do care, you want someone here to say (good job Tracy) OK many have said that here, yes you help people and I love you for that however you continue to beat down the owners here and OTHER software for no reason, life happens and from my view paying for a license don't entitle you to bash the teams that provide you with great software, who the **** cares if it takes another year to get an update? my version works fine?

This again like many of your threads are going sideways, I'm done responding to useless ****.
