I’m looking for an add-on that allows users to post in certain threads as anonymous users.

There used to be an add-on that worked great for this, but it is no longer working, and the developer has gone missing and left us hanging.

We would definitely be interested, especially once there is more clarity on XenForo's future.

We still use @truonglv's addon - the latest version is working fine on 2.3.7. It's worth going through that thread for some history. A lot of us switched to his after @xfrocks / bd abandoned his add-on.

In case it helps, here is a wishlist we posted years ago after we gave up on xfrocks/bd. It's been six years since we posted that, though - maybe we could restart that conversation here if there's enough interest.

As I told someone in a DM, I have somethings I need to finish up before I look at this again. Since I see a bit of interest on this.

Here you go. Looks like I did get a few things done on this before.

Control for nodes is done under Forums>Nodes permissions>Pick a forum>Pick a user group>Find post and view. This way take a bit long if you have a bunch of forums and want a lot to be able to post anonymous in. I may change this and put under options. Where you can pick multiples as once.

What i am willing to do is get the base addon out at first. Not free! But not at a crazy price either. May have a beta test if needed. Then take request for added features.

My apologies. I don't know why I spaced it completely but we actually had to disable it a couple of versions ago because it wasn't working. No errors or anything, the anonymous posting option just stopped showing up on the message post form. Sorry to provide inaccurate information.
